  • We are seeking candidates who will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are crucial to the maintenance of our school’s facilities. This includes: carpentry, minor plumbing, electrical repairs, building and grounds maintenance. This is an entry level position. You will be an important contributor in the Facilities Maintenance department, and report directly to the Head of School and the Residential Director.
  • Duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily and weekly schedules
  • Communicate well with others
  • Complete accurate purchase orders for all needed items in advance of purchases
  • Apply for building permits when projects require one
  • Clear all driveways and sidewalks of snow, ice, and debris during weather events
  • Work with students
  • Wear appropriate safety related items, i.e., ear plus, goggles, etc. when the project requires them
  • Complete all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through TLC.
  • Attend the workplace regularly, report to work punctually and follow a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the work site.
  • Complete any other assigned tasks or projects related to facilities services
  • Schedule:
  • 12 Month position: Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m.-4:00p.m. or when other emergency conditions arise.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and comprehensive drug screening.
  • We are looking to hire a dedicated and enthusiastic therapist who specializes in speech and language skill development for students and young adults. This position will be part of a multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and administrators that delivers highly personalized academic, independent living, and social skill services to a K-12 and transition young adult population.
  • The ideal candidate will provide instruction, coaching and counseling in applied structured and less structured settings.
  • Relevant licenses and/or certifications required. Must be able to pass a comprehensive drug screen. DCF, CT Protective Services, and FBI Background checks are required.
  • The candidate should have a Master’s Degree in speech and language pathology, communication disorders, special education with a focus on language development, or related field.

  • Provide family, individual, and group therapy to students in twelve-month school/residential program.
  • Behavior management with integrated services are provided to children and adolescents with ADHD, Asperger’s, LD, and Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Cognitive-Behavioral orientation and experience a plus.
  • Opportunity for research and experiential treatment, including wilderness programs.
  • Master’s level degree and license/certification eligible.
