Therapist: Provide family, individual, and group therapy to students in twelve-month school/residential program on a 300 acre campus. Behavior management with integrated services are provided to children and adolescents with Asperger’s, ADHD, LD, and Mood Disorders. Cognitive-Behavioral orientation and experience a plus. Opportunity for experiential treatment for student’s and staff, including wilderness programming. Master’s level degree and Connecticut license/certification or eligible. EOE. Residential Program (Top)

Full Time House Parent: A dedicated individual with experience in elementary age to adolescent development. Providing family and life skills teaching for children with learning and emotional difficulties. Four day work week, including one third shift. BA or BS and experience preferred.

Awake Overnight: A dedicated individual with experience in elementary age to adolescent development to provide family and life skills for children with learning and emotional difficulties. Four day work week 11:00 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.

Administration (Top)

Education Director: Implement the education plan as part of The Learning Clinic’s strategic plan.

Competencies
  1. Knowledge of and ability to teach principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, applied behavioral analysis and functional analysis to staff
  2. Knowledge of observational systems
  3. Knowledge of CAI, remote learning, technology applications to special education instruction and treatment of students
  4. Knowledge of systems analytical techniques
  5. Knowledge of statistics
  6. Ability to translate treatment and education objectives into practice in all treatment settings: classroom, home, and residential settings
  7. Ability to translate theory into practice
  8. Ability to select and implement evidence-based strategies consistent with cognitive–behavioral model of multi-modal treatment
  9. Knowledge of staff evaluation methods and ability to supervise professional and non-professional staff
  10. Ability to develop and implement data-based decision models with technology applications
  11. Ability to develop and apply computer-based data systems for program quality assurance and record keeping
  12. Knowledge and ability to perform with various state, public and private guidelines and standards
  13. Knowledge of clinical and education laws pertaining to service delivery
  14. Skill in new program development
  15. Ability to organize strategies to prioritize and implement executive director goals and objectives
  16. Knowledge of clinical and education research methodology
  17. Ability to write and publish professional articles
Education Requirements

Ph.D. or Master’s plus additional courses and experience in relevant areas of study, educational psychology, clinical psychology, clinical social work, research method.

Five years experience in a setting comparable to The Learning Clinic
